Kelly Moore | The Scout Review

Hi,

I’m India and I am addicted to bags, camera bags, and more importantly Kelly Moore’s bags. To say that I love her bags is an understatement. I have been buying Kelly Moore bags for years! Ever since the b-hobo bag, which she doesn’t even sell anymore! Even though that’s my ride or die bag right there and I will never get rid of it.

I wanted a bag that could replace my daily purse, but also looked like it because I love my daily purse. I’m trying super hard to carry my camera around more, so that I can get more practice in. Of course that means that I have to have a bag that I’m willing to carry around as well. Well enter The Scout!

I’ve got my Olympus in tow and I’m ready to shoot!

The Scout is a part of their heritage line of bags and features an all leather bag. This one being a messenger style bag. I had to wait for a long time for this bag because it was sold out, but it was well worth the wait. This bag is the perfect size for my mirrorless camera set up with extra lenses. I can also put my wallet in there as well as other things necessary for my day to day activities. I.e. snacks, kindle, gum, extra lipstick, and my kindle of course!

Everything is packaged neatly inside, including this mason jar mug I got from an Owlcrate Box

In normal Kelly Moore fashion the inside bucket that holds your camera gear is removable, so when you don’t want to carry your photo stuff you can take it out and just use it as a regular awesome purse.  Some of the reviews on the bag say that it’s a little stiff, but I enjoy that of the bag, and know that it will ease up a little bit with use. Also because it is real leather the bag will patina beautifully. It’s got enough pockets to keep your extra batteries, lens caps, and memory cards organized and your snacks away from things where you don’t want crumbs. I of course made a whole unboxing video of me fangirling over this bag, so you can watch it down below if you so choose, or you can click here to go straight to youtube!

I’m pretty sure that I did manage to spill ice cream on my bag

I took this beautiful baby out for a spin on National Ice Cream day and have since been using it regularly as my purse. The only thing I truly wish that it had was a top handle, so that I could easily pick it up.

If you’re looking for a compact leather camera bag this is a great bag for you! It looks great on both men and women, and has some awesome features that I think make it a better bag than its ONA equivalent. To truly look into the bag you can check it out below! Until next time,

Kelly Moore Riverdale Unboxing!

I did it again…. I bought another Kelly Moore bag.
Hi my name is India and I have a problem with buying bags, purses, and backpacks.
I decided to buy this bag because it was on sale for their birthday, and it was just about half off, so I had to jump on it.
I will say that after using it the strap is too short. I don’t know how they make it longer in their pictures, but when I even extend the strap to the last hole it was too short for me. I’ve never had that problem. The purse hangs somewhere in my abdomen instead of down to my hip and that’s annoying to me because I kept hitting it with my elbow. I’m going to continue to try it out, but it is definitely for light carry and the minimum. Either a point and shoot or a mirrorless camera with a fixed lens.  Do you own any of their bags? Let me know what you think! Until next time,

Kelly Moore B-Hobo Bag

Though I am not an avid photographer, I love the idea of photography. I have always loved cameras and everything that comes with them. As you already know I love bags as well. So, of course I went into a major search to find the perfect camera bag!

Through spending hours online during class, or procrastinating on homework I found nothing. Until I was doing a school event and was talking to a woman who pulled out her camera from this beautiful bag that she said was actually a camera bag. I asked her where she got it it from and she said “Kelly Moore!”. That is where the obsession began. I of course then had to spend countless hours on the computer trying to find out more about this Kelly Moore. I watched YouTube videos, read reviews, combed her website, and decided that this was the right camera bag for me. She has so many different types to fit all occasions and all needs, and they are beautifully designed to look like your typical day bag with the protection of your expensive camera.
Now the bags are expensive so I needed one to fit into my jobless college girl budget. I decided on the B-Hobo bag that is one of the least expensive of the bunch. This one is shaped like a large purse and has a comfortable shoulder strap. After consulting through a mass email with family I decided to go with mustard, and treated myself to a late birthday/early graduation present.
Below you’ll see some pictures, I took these the night before vacation so they’re kind of rushed, of how I fill it up, and what I can carry in it!

The bag is capable of standing up on its own

Under the flap of the bag there are two pockets that I slip my extra memory cards and my phone into. There are also side pockets that iPhone can fit into.
Lastly there is a back pocket that I can put my iPad mini or notebook into

The inside of the bag has padding that is able to protect you camera. I’m able to fit my DSLR in here with lens attached as well as my fixed 50mm lens.
The dividers are adjustable so that you can shape them however you want.
Also the inside of the bag comes out so you can just use it as a purse!

Here are all of the things I’m able to fit into my bag minus my DSLR. Here you see:
1. Surface Tablet 2
2. iPad mini
3. Evernote notebook
4. 50mm fixed lens
5. fisheye lens
6. Case f extra memory cards
7. Grid-It Organizer (Actually I’m not sure if this fits in there it just might still be on the table)
8. My point and shoot Nikon

Here’s me and my bag at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey!
You can see that it lies just like a normal purse and is pretty inconspicuous as a camera bag.
It worked wonderfully for my adventure this summer!!
