Continuing school as neither a freshman or a graduate student is different. It’s like being in limbo, and worse it involves starting all over again. There are no programs for people just taking some credits while working so that you can meet people. There are no events or ways to get to know the people you’re going to be around. It’s just show up and hope for the best. Luckily I’m only taking one class on campus, so it’s not too bad, and there’s a lab involved so it is easier to meet people in the smaller setting.
I’m excited for my years as a postbac. Luckily, I’m not far removed from school, so everyone is basically considered to be my age, but I’m working full time. I think it’s going to be exciting to keep my in school, while working. Especially with the classes that I’m taking, which directly relates to work. Hopefully I’ll make some friends, and some study partners to make the class worth looking forward to. I’m also lucky that with my job I can have a lot of practice studying Anatomy and Physiology, and a lot of help from others who work with me. It’s going to be an adventure, and I’m so glad I’m doing it! Until next time,
