Life Planner by Erin Condren

If anyone really knows me they know that I have unhealthy obsession with everything school supplies. Notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, highlighters, markers, and even planners. During one of my extensive times on the internet I stumbled upon this amazing looking planner called the “Life Planner” by Erin Condren. I immediately fell in love for the sheer fact I could put my name on it and customize it! Who doesn’t like that?! While I was on the internet I watched countless amounts of YouTube videos on it how people further customized their LP, and how they used it, which made me fall in love. Some people are a little over the top in my opinion, on their organization, and I don’t see how they keep up with it every day, but I will try my best to stay on top of mine.
I bought mine earlier in the summer as soon as the new ones were put in stock, that same day the website crashed! Luckily I got my order in before then. During the summer I didn’t have much to put in it, but now that school is starting along with work I have a lot more to put in it. It also has monthly, and weekly views. I love having both because I can put big things on the monthly view, while the random stuff that happens during the week I can put in that view. It also comes with stickers that you can customize, and also some blank ones to add whatever you want on them. They are supposed to now be repositionable, but I’m having a hard time with that.

Below you can see some pictures on how I use my planner.

When you order it, it comes in this beautiful box that immediately makes you happy.

When you open it everything is neatly packaged with attention to detail and some inspirational cards.

I ordered a package of the elastic bands to go with my LP to help keep it closed. I wish they came in more colors, so that even if I get a new cover they will match y planner.

This is a quick look at how I use my planner. So the planner is divided into three sections on the weekly view into Morning, Day, and Night. I tried to use it like that, but I did not like it. I ended up putting some Washi Tape over them, and now use them into more of a Work, School, Home categories,

Here is a better view. (Look at those work times! Horrible right?!)

I typically color code my classes, so I know what I need to do for each class.

As you can see my home life isn’t that exciting.

I absolutely love Post-It notes! I have a pack of them in every bag I own, in all sizes, some with lines, some without. They are so useful for quick to-do lists and notes.

I really like the clear divider because that helps me be able to pinpoint the exact week that we are in, while the months are already divided with tabs.

image

I haven’t quite figured out how I want to use the To-Do lists on the side and the bottom. Maybe for when I want to go to the gym, I have used them to write down notes while I’m on the phone trying to figure things out. One day I’ll think of something

Each planner also comes with stickers! Like I said earlier, they are supposed to be repositionable, but if they stick on there for too long they don’t peel back off very well. I decided to get some personalized ones as well, and there are some blank ones that allow you to write in whatever you would like.

image

There are  also two different types of pockets. I moved the ziplock pocket to the front of my planner, and then there’s one in the back that I keep papers in.

image

Erin Condren also throws in these “Call Me Cards” or business cards in there that match your planner, and some thank you notes, and a couple of post cards in the clear pocket as well!!

image

Finally there is this nifty “Perpetual Calendar”. As in all of the dates that never change, birthdays, holidays, Sorority dates, any of that! She took it out of the old planner, and made it so that you can easily transfer this to anything.

image

So as you can see, I’m not that fancy in the use of my LP, like you can find on YouTube, but I do just do what works for me, and that’s all I can recommend for you. Do what works for you and only you because if you try to do too much, you might get overwhelmed and decide to to use this beautiful tool.

If you’re ready to buy an Erin Condren Life Planner click here! It’s definitely worth the cost, and is built to last through many tosses in bags, coffee dates, and extravagant planning. Enjoy it! Until next time,

The Giver, Lois Lowry

the giver cover

The Giver by Lois Lowery is a classic. If you did not have to read it in middle school, and have not reread it before it comes out in theaters as a movie, I don’t know what you have been doing. The Giver is about a Utopian society that have affected themselves with “sameness”. In this society no one falls in love, has their own children, or chooses anything for themselves. Each age has their own perk until they reach adulthood after 12th year. It is twelfth year that changes the lives of children each year. After eleventh year the children find out what their role is going to be in society. For the main character, Jonas,  he has started seeing things that he cannot quite understand, but all of it will soon be shown to him as the new “Receiver” of the community. Being the “Receiver” is supposed to be a highly respected position and is a privilege, but Jonas soon finds out that it is not everything that people think it is.
The Giver is definitely a great novel, and it explores a lot of things during the reading, but alas it is just not one of my favorites. I have also read Gathering Blue and I remember liking that more, but I’m probably going to reread all four just to read them again. I’m excited for the movie, but I already know that it is going to be different from the book. Same concepts, but the characters are different, it ought to be interesting. If you haven’t read it, definitely add it to your reading list. Until next time,

Adore Me Lingerie!!

I took a chance on one of those Facebook ads, and it really paid off. I found a wonderful place to find lingerie at that has all sizes!! Yes, I mean all sizes for big girls, small girls, all sizes, and the lingerie is beautiful! For us big girls it is hard to find bras that look pretty, and make you feel pretty. Most of the time they are just for structure and support, but these are sexy!! I absolutely loge that they come with a matching panty as well, which makes it well worth the already affordable price.

If you become a VIP member then they send you an email every month asking you to buy or skip. If you do not choose either they will charge you $39.95, but don’t worry it stays in your account to use later. I have actually “forgotten” a couple of months in a row so that I wouldn’t spend the money that I wanted to spend on bras, and was able to get some more pretty things. The VIP status gets you $10 off each and every bra every time as well.

In this purchase I got some basics, black and royal blue, but trust me there is nothing basic about them!
If this is your first time click here. Your first set will be $24.95, and then you will be hooked! There are also tons of BOGO sales to look out for as well, and if you buy 6 sets the next one is on them! Happy shopping! Until next time,

If I Stay, Gayle Forman

If-I-Stay
If I Stay, by Gayle Forman is about a girl named Mia who is forced to figure out that it is like to lose everything in one instant. After losing her entire family to a car accident, and being transported to the ICU herself she has an out of body experience during her time in the hospital. During this time she has to decide if she is going to stay or if she is going to let herself go with the rest of her family. She watches as the people she cares about comes in and talks to her, but most importantly as her boyfriend, Adam, thinks of everything possible in order to see her when the nurses won’t let him. During this time flashbacks are written in to show her life with her family, and the first time she falls in love. This is a journey through love and loss and music.
I had mixed feelings about this novel. I enjoyed it and didn’t all at the same time. I just felt like I was in a perpetual sadness at all times. I was sad when the car accident happened, sad in the hospital, and just sad. Yes there were some happy moments, but not enough to pull me out of the sadness and melancholy that I was feeling. Probably because a lot of the happy moments were tinged with some sadness. I decided to read this novel because the movie is coming out soon, and the preview looks really good. So, of course I had to read it first. If you are looking for the total draw in like in The Fault In Our Stars, this is not the book, but it is very similar. I of course recommend reading it before the movie comes out. Until next time,

A Beautiful Mess, a Kelly Moore Bag

AAAAHHHHHHHH two of my favorite things to stare at on the computer came together.

Kelly Moore, check out that post here, and A Beautiful Mess, which is a wonderful blog of DIY and Recipes and photography tips. These two made a bag that explores function, business, and style in the world of photography. This bag is on the larger side, and sometimes I can’t get it to lie where I want it to on my body.

It is a beautiful briefcase style that holds everything that you need it to hold in terms of gear, and more. It can also be used as a diaper bag or anything else you want because the inside sleeve for your camera comes out as it does on the B-Hobo bag. Here are some pictures of how I use it.

It also comes with a diaper changing mat, and a container that can hold a large lens or a water bottle. It also comes in fun colors like Kelly Green and Walnut. I chose the Walnut color because I already have a Mustard Kelly Moore bag, and I wanted something that could possibly be used for school as well.  I can put basically the same amount of stuff in this bag as I can can the B-Hobo bag, with probably just a little extra room and a little more free space.

Also my iPad mini fits in the front pocket, and my surface tablet fits in the back pocket. I like having my surface instead of my macbook sometimes just because it is lighter, and I can still upload pictures on to it. With a nifty SD card reader I got from BestBuy I don’t need to know where the cords are.

This bag is close to $200, but it is a large and sturdy bag that comes with some extra things in it. I think it is just a little too wide, as I said earlier it doesn’t sit on me right, but I could just be weird.

It also comes with two straps, a matching strap, and the striped strap that matches the inside of the bag. I hope these pictures help! I’m going to try and get a picture of me with the bag, so you can see where it lays. Until next time,
