Gossip Girl #1 by Cecily von Ziegesar

Don’t underestimate the struggles of the rich. Especially the rich teenagers. Yeah, they get whatever the want, can do whatever they want, but at what cost? Whatever they do, they better not make the family look bad. As soon as the family looks bad then there’s trouble for those kids.

In the gossip girl series a young gossip blogger, like myself, but without the gossip, follows the lives of upper class teenagers during their daily life.

When Blair’s bestfriend, or ex-bestfriend comes home from boarding school, she is not ready for it. When Serena left for school it made Blair the top of the food chain. When Serena comes back Blair is not ready to take a step back, so she decides to ignore that their friendship even happened. Serena comes home to find that all of her old friends aren’t talking to her anymore.

Going to a private school I understand a lot of what is happening, but you also have to remember that it’s not all serious. It’s a great novel, and they’re very addicting. I definitely recommend this novel to anyone!!

Size 12 Is Not Fat, Meg Cabot

In Size 12 Is Not Fat, the former pop star, Heather Wells, finds herself without a record label and working in a dorm as an assistant dorm director, sorry, residence hall. Her life has fallen apart and has found herself living in an apartment with the brother of her ex-boyfriend. Oh and girls are found dead in the bottom of the elevator shaft in her dorm, sorry…residence hall.

Being that I couldn’t go to sleep I finished Size 12 Is Not Fat by Meg Cabot. The novel unfortunately started off very slowly, almost too slowly. As I continued to read it it picked up, but it still wasn’t that great. Don’t get me wrong the novel has it’s twists and turns, high points and low points, but I was waiting forever to read this book.

All in all there was murder, mystery, romance, and some excitement. The novel definitely was a lot crazier than the back cover lets on. By the end of it I definitely found myself laughing at jokes and hoping that everything turns out for the best for the protagonist.

Killer in High Heels, Gemma Halliday

Have you ever heard a sound that made you want to find out more about it, when you probably should have been going in the opposite direction? Well the first sound Maddie heard was her long lost father’s voice, and the second sound was a gun shot.
After the two sounds echo through Maddie’s ears she decides that she must go find her father in Las Vegas, and figure out what’s going on. Her mother won’t hear of it though, but being stubborn Maddie she goes anyway lying about where she is.
When she finally finds  him she finds out things that she probably never wanted to know and gets caught in the middle of smuggled fake high heels. Of course she did not go alone, her best friend, Dana and the receptionist at her step-father’s salon, Marco tag along. She tries to leave her sexy cop, Ramirez behind, but he was not about to let her be in harms way.
In the next book of her series Gemma Halliday takes the klutzy fake detective on an emotional family seeking journey and throws her in danger. This mystery once again makes me wonder why can’t I do everything in a pair of high heels? What Maddie does takes some extreme skill and luck.

Undercover in High Heels, Gemma Halliday

e

Soap operas have more drama off set than they do on set. When Maddie finds out that the main character on her favorite soap opera has been receiving life threatening letters she decides to take it upon herself to go undercover and figure it out. In order to do that she has to figure out a way to get on set. With her best friend she finds her way on set, but where ever Maddie goes murder follows, and soon there is a murder on set.

Maddie, her best friend, and her sexy cop boyfriend all find a way to be on the famous soap opera set to find out who the murder is.

This novel is an amazing follow up mystery to her first one following the cute clumsy blond around who can’t stay away from fast food. Of course read this mystery because they are addicting, really good, and they make you feel like you can do anything in a cute pair of heels.

Once Upon Stilettos by Shanna Swendson

The bad guy is back and romance is in the air. In the follow up to Shanna Swendson’s Enchanted Inc., Once Upon Stilettos,  Katie continues to work for MSI inc. working side by side her crush with him not knowing that she’s in love with him.

This time at MSI inc someone is spying and turning over information the bad guy in the last novel, and every coworker is turning against each other trying to turn their enemies in. Katie is put on the task of trying to find out who the inside man is and is also put on the task of doing the office’s first secret santa.

But worse than the spy infiltrating the office is that Katie’s parents have come into town trying to see how she is doing. Let me tell you, her mom sees a little bit more in New York than she was planning.

This wonderfully put together novel is filled with some more magical twists and turns, puns intended, and romance is found all over the office.  This novel is just as wonderful as the last one and of course I would recommend this to anyone of any age. It’s definitely a 4.5 out of 5 star book.
