Merry Christmas!! Yes, I’m a little late :)

Merry Christmas!!! Christmas is a time where we give, and it is not about what we get. We give to family, friends, and people less fortunate than ourselves, but let me ask you what did you give your mind? Christmas is a great time for all of us to relax, kick back and enjoy a book with hot chocolate, blankets, and a fire… don’t get that book too close to the fire though… it’s a fire hazard. This Christmas my mom and I went through a lot of my old books and gave away an entire collection of Scooby-Doo books to our neighbor for their children. We received a call later that day from the mom and one of her children, telling us how much they appreciated the books and were excited to read them, Scooby-Doo being one of their favorites. Little did they know Scooby-Doo was also my favorite and I am not afraid to admit that I still watch the cartoons today. Apparently so do the kids, but they had never read the books. Doing simple things like that can make someone else happy, as well as get some clutter out of your house to make more room for more books.

Also when going through my books I found some books that I have yet to read, and plan on getting on that tasks, and also some that I haven’t finished reading. Those books include Son of a Witch, Three Cups of Tea, Nip the Buds, Shoot The Kids, and Maximum Ride. New found books are the best found books because I’ve already spent money on them, and can read them while I have no more money to buy new books.

Back to Christmas. One of my favorite parts of Christmas is watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. I look forward to it every year because it is simple yet teaches us the meaning of Christmas quite easily. By telling us it’s not about the presents or the food it is about being together on Christmas day and being with loved ones.
