He is one of the top people in his class and is possibly headed to Yale, but as he is trying to help his ex-girlfriend get into the car after she was drinking, somehow he is the one who is in handcuffs and is being yelled at by police. After that experience he is questioning everything he ever thought of. He is wondering is that all people are ever going to see of him? A black male to be afraid of and to deem as a threat? I really enjoyed Dear Martin by Nic Stone! The way it was written really brought the whole thing together. I loved the concept of writing letters to Martin Luther King Jr to try and figure out what was going on in Justyce’s life. Stone brought together so many concepts and ideas that made it a wonderful read. The book is small, but it is mighty. I know this a short and choppy review to put up on this blog, but my full review is on my BookTube channel where you can also find the information to enter into a giveaway!! There are still 8 days left to enter the giveaway of a signed copy of Dear Martin! Until next time,
I know I’m really behind on putting up this post, but better late than never right?! This year I went to the Decatur Book Festival with my mother and with Maddy and I had a fantastic time. There were tons of big authors there including Leigh Bardugo, Jason Reynolds, and Nnedi Okorafur. I’ve lived in Atlanta my whole life and have gone to the Decatur Book festival a few times with my mother when I was younger, but I never really paid attention to the author line up and did not know they got such big and amazing authors to do panels at DBF. The festival is held every year during Labor Day weekend in downtown Decatur, and there is a lot of food, festivities, and books to keep you entertained the whole weekend. I managed to vlog the two days I was able to go this year so make sure to check them out!! Down below I also have a video of all of the books I got, and which ones I got signed from the author! Until next time,

The first day my mom and I went to the festival, but they weren’t quite ready yet, so I was just able to have a great afternoon with my mother walking around the beginnings of the festival.
On Saturday I woke up early and got down to Decatur to in order to go the different panels and get a tons of books signed. I bought way too many books this weekend!
Finally since my Saturday video was so long I wanted to just have a video where you got to meet my best friend in the entire world, and how we enjoyed the festival together, eating and everything, and buying a lot of books!
In this video you can see all of the great books I got and also got signed. I also got a lot of bookish merch from some great companies you can find online.
Why do people feel the need to bring books from home to college? I know when I went to college, I was not thinking about bringing books at all. I didn’t want to move with them, I didn’t want to pack them, and I didn’t want them to take up space in my already small dorm room. Did you feel like you should bring books to college? If so, what did you bring with you? If not, why didn’t you bring those books to college? In my video I talked about some more reasons why I don’t think you should bring books to college! Make sure to check it out, and subscribe to my channel! Until next time,
Fallen is about a young girl, Lucinda “Luce” Price, who has seen the world through many time periods and eras, and has loved in every generation of her life. The only thing is, she doesn’t remember any of these lives, and how she is tied to the people around her now. When her current life falls apart after the mysterious death of her boyfriend during a fire, her parents send her off to a reform school because they don’t know how to handle what happened. Now that she’s a part of this school she notices that she is drawn to certain people and certain boys at her new school, and has the feeling that she knows them from somewhere, but doesn’t remember well. Her new friend, Arianne, is some what of a character and unlike anyone she has ever been friends with before. She also finds both, Cameron and Daniel, to be two attractive boys who she wants to find out more about. If going to reform school wasn’t bad enough imagine feeling and seeing things that you don’t understand.
Fallen by Lauren Kate was a crazy book. It was filled with so many twists and turns that you didn’t see coming. It was a book that you thought you knew exactly what was going on, but then all of a sudden something changed. I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for another romance triangle, with some supernatural elements, and some fun twists and turns. Until next time,
