My interests change and stay the same, and I’m trying to bring you all along on all of my changes. Sometimes it is hard to bring you into my life because I don’t know how much you want to see, but let’s be honest when I’m on social media I want to see it all. The dirty, the gritty, the expensive, the cheap, the happy, and the exciting. I’m going to try and bring you more!
For right now, I wanted to bring you a giveaway! It’s going to be a good one!
First let’s start with some bookish merch.
Let’s start with the small stuff. I’ve got a lot of magnetic bookmarks, and so I’m giving away these fantastic “Where the Wild Things Are” bookmarks.
We’ve got a pencil pouch with a quote from William Shakespeare, “Virtuous and fair, royal and gracious”
And a beautiful cream and gold pillow case
Now for the actual book related stuff. I’ve been working on myself lately and loving myself, so I’m giving away a signed copy of Puddin’ by Julie Murphy
And for a little added bonus I’m giving away this Kelly Moore bag, The Riva! It is great for mirrorless cameras and small cameras or a DSLR with a lens attached.
You can find the link for the giveaway here! Good luck! Make sure to check out the video for the rules of entry! Until next time,

Do you have to be a writer to be on Booktube?

The short answer to this is no. No you do not, but you’re looking at this post for a reason. It’s because you see so many of your favorite booktubers talking about writing their first book, trying to find a publisher, “querying” – whatever in the world that means- , and getting an editor and so many more things. You see them getting excited to be a part of the world that you love so much in a different aspect. You see them becoming the hyped book that you want to add to the top of your TBR list. But where does that make you fit? It makes you just like the rest of us. Readers! Readers and critics and free media advertising for your favorite booktubers. Now, I’m not a writer by any means, and I’m pretty sure there are probably so many grammatical errors in this post alone, and it’s because of all of those things I know that I don’t want to be a writer. So don’t let those writing marathon thingys – looking at you NaNoWriMo – convince you that you need to try it out.
Don’t get caught up in the authortube or the how to write your first book videos if you don’t want to be a writer. For some people that’s going to make you anxious thinking that, well if I want to grow in this community I have to be writing a book, and that’s not true! Without readers, writers would have nothing and be nothing, so don’t be afraid to just be a reader. That’s all I am! I read and I enjoy reading! Maybe I’m writing this post to convince myself of that even though in my heart of hearts I know I don’t want to be a writer, and I’ve never wanted to be a writer.
Forever a reader
I guess what I’m saying is that it’s okay to just be a reader and never ever want to write your own book. It’s okay to want to be a consumer and to take the time to read a book. If you want to be a reviewer it’s okay to be a reviewer for pleasure and it’s okay to be a critical reader.  You get to make those decisions for yourself and always chose what makes you happy. I hope this helps to keep you true to what you want to do and not make you feel like you need to be anywhere else, but on Booktube as a reader. Has booktube ever made you feel like you need to change?  Until next time,

Vacation TBR – Cruise!!

It’s time for the first vacation of the year!!!! I’m so excited!! If you follow my vlog then you know how much I love to travel, also if you follow my blog you’ve seen some previous posts as well. For this vacation I will be going on a cruise with my mom as well as some family friends, so I typically just call this vacation the “family” vacation. We will be spending 10 days on the Celebrity Reflection going to the Caribbean and I can’t wait to have the reading time associated with vacationing. So that leads me to my vacation TBR!!
  1. This is kind of a cheat because I’m already almost done with it, but it is Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
  2. American Street by Ibi Zoboi, which I think I have included on all of my vacation TBRs thus far and I have not finished it
  3. Strange The Dreamer by Lani Taylor
  4. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
  5. The 14th Colony by Steve Berry
  6. And if I get around to it as in if I have been spending all of my time out by the pool, I will read This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
Of course I will be reading all of these books on my Kindle Oasis while I’m gone because packing books takes up too much room and I’m already an over packer, so my Kindle and I get a long amazingly!  All of the books are linked as well! Do you like to read on vacation? What are some of your favorite vacation reads?! I seem to always read a Cotton Malone book on every trip. Let me know what you think! Until next time,

Don’t Bring Books to College!!

Why do people feel the need to bring books from home to college? I know when I went to college, I was not thinking about bringing books at all. I didn’t want to move with them, I didn’t want to pack them, and I didn’t want them to take up space in my already small dorm room. Did you feel like you should bring books to college? If so, what did you bring with you? If not, why didn’t you bring those books to college? In my video I talked about some more reasons why I don’t think you should bring books to college! Make sure to check it out, and subscribe to my channel! Until next time,
